On the Met Gala, Personal Brand, and Being Your Own Statement
The Met Gala came and went.
A parade of fabrics, references, bodies, and statements—some loud, some quiet, all intentional.
It reminded me that personal branding isn’t about visibility. It’s about alignment.
Every detail you choose—what you say yes to, how you show up, what you allow—communicates something.
Not just to others, but to yourself.
What’s your theme right now?
Not the one you tell the world. The one that’s showing up in your choices.
Is it peace or performance? Expansion or survival? Strategy or noise?
I say this because we often spend so much time trying to look like we belong in the room, we forget to ask if the room is even aligned with the story we’re building.
Your brand isn’t what you post.
It’s what your calendar says. How you cherish your time. How you show up in the world with your talents and gifts. What your systems protect.
That’s your real statement piece.
And if you haven’t been intentional lately, don’t panic. Start small.
Choose one area of your life to bring into alignment. Then another. Then another.
Eventually, the entire look will make sense.
Until next week,
Luci
